Samsungs One UI 5 Launches With IOS 16s Coolest Feature
Samsung has finally introduced One UI 5, which will host Android 13. The company is improving the customization of its operating system by improving the clean design language and adding some nice improvements.
Samsung's main feature here is lock screen customization. Although it's not entirely new to the company's phones, Samsung has brought this feature to the One UI lock screen since Apple introduced something similar in iOS 16. Especially since this is similar to the Apple app. Customizing the lock screen is a useful feature that you will find on many Chinese Android phones. It's the way Google should implement it in Android, especially given the customization-focused stuff it brings you.
However, Samsung's personalization features go beyond the surface. The company is also expanding its resources. These are primarily iOS focus modes and allow you to customize the theme, limit notifications, and more.
One feature that Pixel users will recognize is Bixby text calls. Like the Google Assistant call screen, it allows you to answer calls without answering them. Alternatively, you can type messages that are converted into sound and play them to the caller on the other end. Don't get too excited, it's currently only available in Korean and will speak to English speakers in early 2023.
Other One UI 5 features include smart widgets, stacked widgets, and text extraction from images. You also get all the unfriendly features of Android 13. It's more life-like features like seeing many of your apps you get a monochrome icon if you like, and a new security panel that lets you control the security of your phone and your accounts.
One UI 5 will be coming to Samsung phones later this year. Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will top the list, while older phones and Class A upgrades will have to wait until 2023 for the updates to roll out.
