Huawei Mate 50: 66W Charging, Variable Aperture, XMAGE & More
Huawei Mate 50 series will be officially revealed on September 6. The company recently confirmed this. However, new information about the Huawei Mate 50 series has emerged, as well as outdated information. It appears that at least some Huawei Mate 50 models will offer a variable aperture.
Some Huawei Mate 50 devices may use variable slotFirst, Huawei is expected to announce four devices in the lineup, three of which will offer premium specifications. Huawei Mate 50E is said to come with Snapdragon 778G, while Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Note, however, that 5G connectivity will not be part of the package due to the US ban. Huawei is said to be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, but without 5G.
Now the Huawei Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS have been certified by China's 3C authority. These certifications confirmed that Huawei intends to ship the 66W devices.
Your Huawei Mate 50 Pro and Mate 50 RS should have a notch on the screen. Both devices should also use a variable aperture on the main camera. Huawei will likely use Sony IMX766 (50MP camera) as the main sensor for the phone's camera.
If that sounds familiar, the Galaxy S9 and S10 have used a variable aperture so far. You can switch between f/1.7 and f/2.4. However, Samsung abandoned this technology with the Galaxy S20 series.
You can also expect the "XMAGE" branding for Huawei cameras. We don't know if Huawei has such plans, but the company might consider using something more advanced. we will see. Speaking of cameras, the company's upcoming flagships will have an "XMAGE" tag on the back. This is Huawei's new camera brand as it is no longer a Leica partner.
Another noteworthy detail is that the Mate 50 series will not have Google services. It's not entirely new, as it has been around for a while due to the US embargo. It comes with Huawei's own services and app store, just like the company's other devices.
