Oppo Reno 11 Pro Review (Longterm): A Cameracentric Midrange Handset
Recently, Oppo launched two devices in its new Reno series, Reno 11 Pro 5G and Reno 11 5G in the Indian market. We recently reviewed the new Reno 11 Pro 5G, which is priced at Rs 39,999 (at the time of writing on the company's official website). I have been using this smartphone extensively for more than two weeks and here is my brief review to show you how this device works, what are its key features and whether you should buy it or not.
See and feel
We received the Pearl White variant of the Reno 11 Pro 5G for testing and the Rocky Gray variant is also available in the market.
This version has a marble texture on the back and weighs around 181 grams, which is very convenient for one-handed use. There is a large camera module on the back, which undoubtedly makes this device special. The phone has a 6.68-inch AMOLED display with bright colors and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
We feel that the device lacks stereo speakers as the smartphone comes with a premium model, which can be seen as a drawback. However, when playing music indoors or during video calls, the device performed well and the sound was acceptable.
Camera performance
The phone is equipped with a triple rear camera setup of 50MP main camera + 32MP telephoto lens + 8MP ultra-wide angle lens. In my experience, this phone takes very impressive photos in daylight with a wide dynamic range. Portrait mode naturally displays natural colors and accurately captures skin tones.
As for night mode performance, it takes a bit longer to get the perfect shot in low light. Of course, like other Reno smartphones at this price point, the new Reno 11 Pro 5G offers good performance, but some users may miss the advanced features of the Reno 10 Pro+ (looking for an upgrade).
Performance and software
This phone runs on ColorOS 14 which is based on Android 14 operating system. The Reno 11 Pro also offers a great user experience with 12GB LPDD5X RAM and 256GB internal storage, which gives the device enough space to download multiple apps and create multiple apps. Photos without space.
The smartphone with the MediaTek Dimension 8200 chipset performs well, but I noticed heating problems when using the camera for a long time (Instagram Live broadcasts, long videos, etc.). The device also got a bit warm during long games (I played NFS and Asphalt9).
ColorOS 14 offers a relatively clean interface with smart AI features, an aquamorphic design, and little pre-installed bloatware. Overall, it performs well and is able to multitask smoothly without overheating (sometimes).
Battery life and charging
The phone has a 4600 mAh battery which has an impressive battery life and can last more than a day with moderate usage (8-10 hours of social media usage, calls and some photos).
In addition, the device has built-in SuperVOOC 80W charging support, which allows the device to fully charge (and work well) in 35 minutes.
complaint
All in all, the new Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 39,999 and comes with some very impressive features such as a powerful camera, multitasking capabilities, support for high graphics quality games, very good design and long battery life with motion support. which is much better. charge
Talking about what we miss about this device is the lack of stereo speakers, and while the camera works well, it's still a downgrade from last year's Oppo.
The new $40,000 Reno 11 Pro 5G is a good device, but it can compete with other high-end devices like the OnePlus 12R, Nothing Phone (2) and Pixel 7a that already have strong specs.
