Oppo has launched the Reno 11 Pro, the successor to the Reno 10 Pro launched mid-last year. With improvements in design, camera and internals, Reno 11 Pro promises a smoother experience than its predecessor. But with such a short launch window and attractive options like other brands, the Reno 11 Pro has its work cut out for it.

The Oppo Reno 11 Pro features a Pearl White color scheme and a marble-like etched 3D texture on the back. This matte finish resists fingerprints well for a cleaner appearance over time. At 7.66mm thick and weighing 181 grams, the phone has a slim profile but is relatively light for a premium device. OPPO says the phone is water and dust resistant, although it doesn't have an official IP rating. The curved glass front and back gently bend to form a polycarbonate frame. However, its slippery texture might justify using the included TPU case to prevent accidental drops. While it lacks upgrades like wireless charging, the 11 Pro manages to offer a sophisticated aesthetic.

The Reno 11 Pro's large, shiny silver camera island houses three sensors in a visible portrait orientation. This is in line with the trend of other new flagship mobile phones that emphasize the stunning aesthetics of the camera on the back. The metal cladding and curved edges attempt to integrate the protrusions into the minimalist design, but their sheer size and direction still distract the eye. The screen is HDR10+ certified and provides detailed and dynamic images with a brightness of up to 950 nits. A slightly warmer tone makes the user interface and content more pleasant and makes the text appear sharper. Supporting 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz, the adaptive refresh rate automatically adjusts based on content, potentially saving battery life.

Oppo Reno 11 Pro runs ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14 and comes with a mix of Google and third-party apps. While users have the flexibility to remove many pre-installed apps, some persistent bloatware cannot be removed. This operating system also offers new features such as Smart Touch and Smart Image Matting.

The Oppo Reno 11 Pro differs from its predecessor, the Reno 10 Pro, with a 4nm Dimensity 8200 SoC instead of the 6nm Snapdragon 778G chipset. This new chipset features an ARM Cortex A78 main core clocked at 3.1 GHz, complemented by three high-performance Arm Cortex A78 cores clocked at 3.0 GHz and four Arm Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz

The 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor takes decent wide-angle shots with a 112-degree field of view, although detail and color intensity suffer a bit compared to the main sensor. Notably, the Reno 11 Pro's camera algorithm uses the Oppo Hypertone image engine and Android 14, which shows improvements in overall image processing.
The 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture and 2x zoom is powered by a Sony IMX709 sensor that captures selfies with detailed facial features and minimal beauty. The inclusion of several selfie filters, including Bokeh Flare Portrait, adds creative versatility when focusing on your subject.

The Reno 11 Pro features the same 4600mAh battery as its predecessor and supports 80W fast charging.
